From 1 January 2017 Bergen Academy of Art and Design (KHiB) and Grieg Academy, University of Bergen (UiB) are merged. They will be organized within the University of Bergen as the new Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design, where they will be one of seven faculties that constitutes the institution.

BA Study Programme in Fine Art

The Bachelor’s programme in Fine Art is a study programme for students who wish to study to become professional artists. The core of the programme is the development of the student's own artistic practice, seen in conjunction with art's place in culture and society. Please note that this BA programme is offered in Norwegian only.

BA studies in Furniture and Spatial Design

The BA programme provides basic training in Furniture- and Spatial Design/Interior Architecture. Please note that KHiB offers this BA programme in Norwegian only.

BA studies in Visual Communication

The BA programme in Visual Communication provides skills in communication through text and images for printed, interactive and time-based media. Please note that KHiB offers this BA programme in Norwegian only.

MA Study Programme in Curatorial Practice

MA Curatorial Practice is a part-time, two-year low residency, seminar-based education. Established 2015, and now open to international applicants, the faculty is looking forward to welcoming a diverse group of ten MA candidates in August 2017 to the Department of Fine Art

Snøhetta designs the new Bergen Academy of Art and Design

Bergen Academy of Art and Design are relocating its facilities into a new building designed by Snøhetta. Its completion is expected in May 2017.
